As it was not possible for the Guild to hold their AGM at St. Stephen's, Gloucester Road, London after Easter, the following is a summary of the Treasurer-General's statement. The General Council approved the full accounts when they met on Saturday 8th February 2020 at St. Alban's Centre, London.
General Account Income received by the Guild including Annual Subscriptions and Investment Income amounted to £22,998. Subscriptions had increased from previous years mainly due to outstanding amounts being paid. The Council encourages annual subscriptions to be paid by bank standing order as this lessens the work of Chapter treasurers who would normally have to collect payment and then forward them to headquarters. A reduction of the governance costs helped to decrease the overall expenditure of the Guild to £16,164.
Candidates for Ordination Fund Donations from Chapters were down from previous years to £1,512 but with the investment and other income, the total received was £10,515. More candidates have been supported by the fund during the year and together with governance costs, there was an expenditure of £11,340. Assets carried forward to 2020 amount to £310,504 and of this, £291,403 is investment income that helps tp provide grants for future COF candidates.
The accounts for the Guild are independently examined and found to be in order.
A summary of the accounts will appear in the summer edition of The Server.
